Collect specimen from throat, rectum, anus, vagina, or skin (cellulitis) using a Routine Culture transport swab.

Comments:
Beta streptococcus isolated from throat specimen will be typed for groups A, C, and G. Beta streptococcus isolated from rectum, anal or vaginal specimen will be typed for groups A and B. Beta streptococcus isolated from skin (cellulitis) specimen will be typed for group A. Additional charges will be added for the typing. If Arcanobacterium haemolyticum is isolated from a throat specimen, it will be identified at an additional charge.
