Rinse brush in a pre-filled tube of Cytolyt Collection Fluid solution. Brush may be detached into the solution. If other testing is ordered, send separate specimen without fixative. Refrigerate fresh specimen.
Stability:
Fresh specimen 2 hours ambient; refrigerate for longer storage. Cytolyt Collection Fluid fixative 10 days ambient.

Fresh specimen held ambient more than 2 hours; Cytolyt Collection Fluid specimen held more than 10 days.
