Handling: Centrifuge and separate serum into a plastic vial.
Stability: 48 hours ambient, 7 days refrigerated, or 2 months frozen. Refrigerate.

Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL serum.

Comments: High concentrations of IgM MAG autoantibodies are found in approximately 50% of patients with peripheral neuropathies accompanied by IgM monoclonal gammopathies. Lower concentrations of MAG IgM autoantibodies can also be found in patients with inflammatory neuropathies, multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosus and healthy individuals.
