Collection: | Four 5 mL red top tubes. Do not use serum separator tubes (SST). Also acceptable. Two 6 mL grey top tubes (potassium oxalate/sodium fluoride). Do not use plasma separtor tube (PST). Do not use plasma separator tubes (PST). | ||||||||
Handling: | Allow to clot, centrifuge and separate serum or plasma into plastic vials, or submit whole blood from grey top tubes. Refrigerate. | ||||||||
Stability: | Ambient 24 hours, refrigerated 10 days. Frozen is undetermined. | ||||||||
