Handling:
Allow to clot, centrifuge and immediately separate serum from cells into a plastic vial. Refrigerate until transport. Freeze at -20° C if specimen cannot be assayed within 8 hours. Allow no more than three freeze/thaw cycles.
Stability:
8 hours ambient or 48 hours refrigerated. Freeze = -20° C for longer storage

Rejection Criteria:
Plasma; hemolysis, gross lipemia, or contaminated specimen; heat inactivation’ specimen frozen/thawed more than three times.
