Collection: Two 4 mL lavender top tubes (EDTA).
Handling: Keep on cold ice. Do not spin. Keep as whole blood.
Stability: 24 hours ambient or 8 days refrigerated. Unstable frozen.
Standard Volume: 5 mL whole blood
Transport: Refrigerated.
Comments: A wait of 14 days between draws is requested to give the drug time to metabolize in the body. Any draw sooner will be considered a duplicate order and be cancelled by the laboratory.
Rejection Criteria: Spun specimen; specimen kept ambient longer than 24 hours; frozen specimen.
