| Collection: | One 6 mL pink top tube (EDTA for Blood Bank). Also acceptable: Two 4 mL lavender top tubes (EDTA). | ||||||||
| Handling: | Do not centrifuge or separate plasma. Complete and accurate labelling of specimen and requisition is required. Patient’s full first and last name and date of birth must appear and be identical on both the specimen and requisition. Do not cover original label. If tests other than for Blood Bank are ordered, send separate specimen for those tests. |
