| Collection: | One 4 mL green top tube (heparin). Also acceptable: Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) or urine. | ||||||||
| Handling: | Centrifuge green top tube and separate plasma from cells. Freeze plasma or urine immediately. Freeze CSF within 4 hours. Indicate amino acid to be tested, diagnosis, and medications. | ||||||||
