| Collection: | Whole blood in one 6 mL royal blue top tube (EDTA trace elements). Also acceptable: One 4 mL tan top tube (metal free) or 4 mL lavender top tube (EDTA), but lavender will require redraw if results are elevated. | ||||||||
| Handling: | Submit whole blood. Do not submit plasma. Order this test if the patient is being monitored for occupational exposure. Include patient’s age, sex, and employer. |
