Useful for diagnosis and treatment of LSD use or overdose. LSD is a very powerful hallucinogen of the serotonin class of psychedelics which interferes with the functioning of 5-hydroxytryptamine systems in the brain.
A positive test result is only presumptive evidence of LSD usage. If adulteration of specimen is suspected, do not accept for analysis.
Rejection Criteria: Glass container; specimen exposed to light.
