PeaceHealth Names Julie Halic as Chief Operations Officer for Laboratory Services

Springfield,
Ore. – PeaceHealth is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie
Halic as chief operations officer for the organization’s laboratory
services.

22 years of laboratory experience, particularly in a multi-lab setting,
Julie is well-positioned to excel in her leadership role as we continue
to grow throughout our region,” says Ran Whitehead, Chief Executive
Officer for PeaceHealth’s laboratories.

Headquartered
at PeaceHealth’s Oregon Medical Laboratories (OML) facility in
Springfield, Halic will oversee the day-to day operations of both
inpatient and outpatient diagnostic offerings from nine labs in three
states. “I am excited by the opportunity to influence the complete
spectrum of lab operations, including extensive patient-focused
services,” she says.
Halic
joins PeaceHealth from ACL Laboratories, where she served as Vice
President of Hospital Laboratory Operations with responsibility for 20
hospital labs performing 20 million tests annually. She holds a BS in
Biological Sciences from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the
Keller Graduate School of Management. She completed her Medical
Technologist training at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago and also
holds a certificate in HR Management.
