A Successful Relay
for Life
The OML STAT Pack enjoyed an outstanding Relay for Life this
year. Thanks to several fundraisers including a bake sale, chili cook-off,
bingo night and the Relay for Life walk-a-thon itself, the team raised a total
of $6,145 for the American Cancer Society.
Relay for Life is a fun-filled overnight experience designed
to bring together those who have been touched by cancer. During Relay for Life
events, team members take turns walking or running laps, always having a team
member on the track, for an entire 24-hour period. This year’s event in Eugene
took place at Lane Community College on July 24–26.
“We’re proud to support Relay for Life and the American
Cancer Society,” says Chief Executive Officer Ran Whitehead. “The OML STAT Pack
did a terrific job fundraising and truly represent the PeaceHealth spirit of
compassionate care. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event.”
