Released: 1-4 days after setup at PeaceHealth Laboratories’ reference lab.
CPT Code: 86674-90 x3
Specimen Collection Details

Stability: 72 hours ambient, 14 days refrigerated, or 2 months frozen.
Standard Volume: 1 mL serum.
Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL serum.

Comments: Recent or current infection by Giardia lamblia is suggested by either detection of IgM Ab or a four-fold increase in IgG and/or IgA Ab titers between acute and convalescent sera. Positive IgG and/or IgA titers without detectable IgM suggest past infection.

Reference Range:
IgG <1:16
IgA <1:16
IgM <1:20
