Edit Date: 6/11/2010
Performed: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Released: 1-4 days after setup at PeaceHealth Laboratories’ reference lab, if negative
CPT Code: 86790-90, if reflexed add 86689-90 confirmation

Transport: Refrigerated, or frozen on dry ice.
Comments: All repeatedly reactive EIA results will be confirmed by HTLV 1 Western Blot and HTLV 1 RIPA if indicated. Additional charges will be added.
Rejection Criteria: Hemolytic, lipemic, or heat-inactivated specimen; specimen containing particulate material; repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
