Comments: |
Useful in differentiating between a normal multimeric pattern, and an abnormal one, where the High Molecular Multimers are missing, such as in type II vWD. It is necessary to test for vWF:Ag as well as a Ristocetin Cofactor at the same time as the multimer analysis if an interpretation of the pattern is needed. |
Rejection Criteria: |
Hemolysis; microclots. |
