Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in a sterile, plastic vial. Do not use first 2 mL of CSF flow from tap. Avoid a bloody tap. Freeze within 20 minutes of collection. A patient information form, available from the Reference Department, is required. A random urine specimen is also requested, but not required. |
