Specimen Collection Details |
Collection: |
One 7.5 mL serum separator tube (SST). Plasma specimens not recommended. |
Handling: |
Allow to clot for 30 minutes to 1 hour ambient. Centrifuge and separate serum from cells as soon as possible and place immediately on wet ice (2-8 degrees C) or freeze for extended transport. Non-frozen samples are acceptable but will be run with a disclaimer if results are abnormally low. If other testing is ordered, send separate specimen for this test. |

2 hours ambient or 14 days frozen. Unstable refrigerated. |

1 mL serum. |

0.5 mL serum. |
Transport: |
Frozen on dry ice. |
Rejection Criteria: |
