One 7.5 mL serum separator tube (SST). Also acceptable: One 4 mL green top tube (heparin). Specimen should be collected between 6 and 10 a.m. |

Centrifuge and separate serum or plasma from cells and immediately pour into a plastic vial. Refrigerate. |
