Minimum Volume: |
6 mL urine (smaller volumes reported with disclaimer). |
Transport: |
Refrigerated, or in a urinalysis preservative tube. |
Comments: |
Automated analysis for urine chemical (dipstick) parameters, and microscopic examination of urine sediment for formed elements. Includes: Specific gravity, chemical reactions (leukocyte esterase, nitrate, pH, protein, glucose, ketone, urobilinogen, bilirubin, and blood), and microscopic exam (WBC, RBC, bacteria, casts, crystals, epithelial cells, and other findings). |
Rejection Criteria: |
