At PeaceHealth Laboratories, such technical and clinical support is an integral part of our health care mission, and we have focused comprehensive resources on these critical services. OML provides 24-hour, 7-day/week client support to respond to routine inquiries regarding test availability, and specimen collection and handling issues.
Our Client Service representatives respond to more than 700 calls each day. Our representatives are trained to answer common questions and to refer advanced technical questions to the appropriate personnel: PeaceHealth Laboratories pathologists, clinical scientists and technical specialists.
Communication between PeaceHealth Laboratories and our clients (medical practices, hospitals, clinics and laboratories) is considered a very important aspect of our overall service commitment. Our Client Service representatives are specifically trained to meet those communication needs, and to assist clients with questions regarding results retrieval, add-on tests and specimen requirements, among others. For tests deemed esoteric in nature, Client Service representatives consult with OML’s send-out specialists to provide information regarding referred testing and specimen requirements.
